Save the Children with Heather and Adam!

Hey, you! Join me (and my lovely wife!) in decreasing world suck!

You wanna know how you can do this? Yeah? You do?

Okay! Three words: Project. For. Awesome.

Project For Awesome 2012

Online Creators Decreasing Suck

From the p4a FAQ:

The Project for Awesome is an annual event that sprung out of various YouTube communities to support charities and other ways of decreasing the overall worldwide level of suck. Ever year since 2007, thousands of people post videos to YouTube promoting charities on December 17th. We then come together as a community to promote those videos and raise money.

Heather and I made a video!

I know… It’s terrible. BUT! We wanted to be a part of this amazing movement, so we made a video! You’re just going to have to deal with it.

We chose Save the Children because it’s pretty much the best charity ever.

Want proof?

“Oh hey, Save The Children… what do you do?” – Somebody… maybe you!

“WE SAVE THE CHILDREN!” – Save The Children

Anyhoo! Here’s a couple ways you can help!

  1. Vote for our video the Project For Awesome website. We aren’t going to be in the top five (which would get STC some of the p4a funds!), but it would still be rather kind of you.
  2. Submit your own charity endorsing video to the Project For Awesome!
  3. Donate directly to the Project For Awesome at Indiegogo. “The charities featured in the five videos that the community collectively decides are the best of the year receive the proceeds of the Indiegogo campaign.”
  4. Donate directly to Save The Children! There are lots of ways to give… sooo… give away! The kids need you! Be a good person and just do it! What were you gonna buy with your money, anyway? Waaaaay too much Diet Mountain Dew? LEGOs? Candy? Psh!

And remember… DFTBA!!!

This project is excellent. I hope I can join this movement next time. I believe there are many things we can target for the charity, such as cancer and people with kidney failure.
